Pete was selected to the Pro Bowl in 1967. Always a good teammate, he was one of three Jets, along with George Sauer and Jim Hudson, who threatened to retire in support of Joe Namath during last year's Bachelors III controversy.
Last October 5, at Alumni Stadium in Boston against the Patriots, Pete caught a 10-yard touchdown pass from Namath to give New York a 9-7 lead they would hold in a 23-14 victory. The win evened the Jets' record at 2-2.
