Last October 29, Jim's three field goals and three PATs were the winning margin in a 30-23 Jet victory over the Patriots at Shea Stadium. His 87 points during the season, fifth in the league, were a prime factor in New York putting enough points on the board for their first winning season. Jim's 32 field goal attempts were second in the AFL, his 17 field goals third and his 53.1 field goal percentage good for fifth.

Curley punted 62 times in 1967, sixth in the AFL, for 2,734 yards, sixth in the circuit, for an average of 42.1 yards, also sixth. His longest punt of 60 yards was the sixth longest booted in the league.
