"Drafted 17th, Darwin was a two-year starter and a three-year letterman. He caught 32 passes for 480 yards and six touchdowns, including the winning touchdown in Tulane's 14-0 win over LSU in 1973.
Scouts like Darwin's speed (4.8), blocking and steady hands. His collegiate honors include Tulane's lineman of the week (1975), All-South Independent second unit and honorable mention All-Louisiana.
Darwin majored in physical education. He played high school football in Loranger, Louisiana. His hometown is Folsom, Louisiana."
